Thumbs Up For Your Post
Royal Mail
During Lockdown 2020, up and down the country people were posting beautiful messages to thank our posties for the wonderful work they were doing to help keep the country running during what was a very difficult time - especially by delivering letters and parcels to the vulnerable who were unable to leave their homes.

To show our appreciation, Royal Mail asked the nation to get involved by giving your local postie a big ‘thumbs up’ from a safe two metre distance. With Postmen and Postwomen being at the heart of the communities I wanted to create a piece of artwork to celebrate this campaign, and show support to our posties.

The artwork was shared on my instagram account Miss Meaney's Ltd and
Royal Mail kindly got in contact and asked permission to feature
this across their social media accounts.

To my surprise, over night this post went viral with a huge public support!

With the public support backing Royal Mail's #ThumbsUpForYourPostie campaign and sharing my artwork, I was starting to have public requests for cards and stamps to be made.

Later this design became a limited edition postcard and square stamp sticker, purchased exclusively from my Miss Meaney's Etsy Shop, and also became available to purchase as a greeting card from Thortful.com.

It was pretty incredible to a part of a positive movement and moment during what was a pretty grey time in 2020.
